25/03/2005 One of my favourite poem--from The Lord of the RingsThe Road Goes Ever on and on The road goes ever on and on, Down from the door where it began, Now far ahead the road has gone, And I must folow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet,. And whither then? I cannot say.
You might not know this poem, but you must have known the famous books---The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Yes, this poem comes from the bok and it describe the feeling of the bok's hero---Frodo, who is a Hobby and have to bear a heavy burden occasionally which is to bring the ring to the Mount Doom and destroy it. In this story, whether Frodo can destroy this ring or not, is uncertain. But he still accept this task bravely, because he knows that though our lives don't always turn out the way we plan them, life is what happens when we embrace the unexpected. Besides of admiring the Frodo's courage, I also like the role of Sam very much. He really is a true friend and help his god friend and master---Frodo in every way. In our reality, we indeed need this kind of friends, but I wonder how hard we can find them. They might be few, or never appear in your life. But I feel lucky I got some in my life. Praise Lord. I do not know why I love The Lord of the Rings so much. Every time when I return home in long holidays, I can not help watching and enjoying one or two of the trilogy. Maybe I long for the life and world described in this famous masterpiece...
